News: Tulowitzki (thigh) is expected to return by the middle of August,'s Thomas Harding reports. Impact: The Rockies still aren't providing an official timetable for Tulowitzki's return, so consider mid-August to be the far end for his potential activation from the DL. Tulowitzki spent the past weekend on the East Coast to meet with Philadelphia surgeon Dr. William Meyers, who performed a dry needling procedure on Tulowitzki's left hip flexor. Tulowitzki said the visit with Dr. Meyers went well, but it's not certain when he might resume baseball-related activities.(RotoWire, )

News: Tulowitzki has been receiving dry needling treatment on his ailing thigh in Philadelphia this weekend, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports. Impact: Tulowitzki made the long trek from Denver to Philadelphia in order to meet William Meyers, a surgeon considered one of the foremost experts in sports injuries. The shortstop previously consulted with Meyers for his sports hernia surgery in 2012, but the Rockies are hoping Tulowitzki will be able to avoid that sort of season-ending procedure this time around. Once Tulo returns to Denver, the Rockies should have a better idea on a potential timetable for his recovery.(RotoWire, )
