News: Tulowitzki (hip) was moved to the 60-day DL Tuesday, the Denver Post's Nick Groke reports. Impact: He recently underwent season-ending surgery and will be under physician's care for the next 7-to-10 days, but he's expected to recover fully in time for spring training. The move to the 60-day DL was simply to clear a spot on the 40-man roster.(RotoWire, )

News: Tulowitzki (hip) will remain under physician's care in Vail, Colo. for the next seven-to-10 days after undergoing season-ending surgery Friday, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports. Impact: Since it's already been established that Tulowitzki won't play again in 2014, the news doesn't have many immediate implications. Fantasy owners considering holding Tulowitzki in keeper leagues will surely want to track his offseason progress in his recovery from the surgery, though it's anticipated that he will be fully healthy for spring training. How long the oft-injured shortstop may stay healthy upon returning to action is anyone's guess.(RotoWire, )

News: Tulowitzki (hip) underwent successful labral repair surgery Friday. Impact: After discussing his treatment options with a specialist, Tulowitzki opted for surgery and he will miss the rest of this season as a result. Given his five-month estimated recovery timetable, it's at least possible Tulowitzki could remain limited into the initial weeks of spring training, but the 29-year-old is likely aiming to be ready for Opening Day. While the per-game offensive production is certainly elite, especially from the shortstop position, Tulowitzki's injury history should once again temper expectations heading into 2015.(RotoWire, )

News: Tulowitzki (hip) is expected to require five months' recovery time once he undergoes surgery to repair his torn labrum Friday, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports. Impact: First placed on the DL on July 22 with what was considered a left hip flexor strain, Tulowitzki was diagnosed with the labrum tear following Wednesday's visit with a specialist. It's the second time in three years Tulowitzki has been unable to finish the season, though the shortstop is on track to be healthy for spring training. Still, the development has to be especially frustrating this time around for Tulowitzki, considering he's implemented a wide range of preventive-maintenance activities into his daily routine over the last two years in an attempt to preserve his body for the rigors of a full season. With a .340 average and 21 homers in 91 games, Tulowitzki was a leading contender for the NL MVP award before succumbing to the season-ending injury, which should make him a high-risk, high-reward selection in fantasy drafts yet again in 2015.(RotoWire, )

News: Tulowitzki will undergo labral repair surgery Friday on his left hip and will miss the rest of the season, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports. Impact: It was believed that Tulowitzki would be able to return at some point in August, but it appears his injury was more serious that originally expected, and he will not play again this season. With Tulowitzki sidelined, Josh Rutledge figures to be the Rockies' primary shortstop the rest of the way.(RotoWire, )

News: Tulowitzki (thigh) will see a specialist Wednesday to discuss treatment options, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports. Impact: He hasn't played since July 19 due to a strained left hip flexor, but the Rockies think there could be an issue with the labrum in his hip, and will send him to see orthopedic surgeon Dr. Marc Philippon on Wednesday. Even if there is labrum damage, there's a chance that the issue would simply require rest and rehab and Tulowitzki could return some time this season, but given his past history, owners are surely wary of getting their hopes up.(RotoWire, )
