News: Snider could lose playing time with the anticipated return of Andrew McCutchen on Tuesday. Impact: Snider went 2-for-4 with a double Monday and is batting .350/.409/.638 with six homers and 18 RBI in 88 plate appearances since July 12. With Starling Marte and Gregory Polanco entrenched in the corner outfield spots, that leaves Snider on the outside looking in. Snider, like Pedro Alvarez, practiced at first base recently, but it's unlikely the Bucs try another untested player at first in the midst of a pennant race. Snider owners may have to wait for another injury before he receives steady playing time again.(RotoWire, )

News: Snider went 2-for-4 with a couple of singles in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Nationals. Impact: Snider finished up a red-hot week at the plate by extending his current hitting streak to eight games. Over this stretch, the 26-year-old outfielder is batting an even .400 with three homers, three doubles and seven RBI. Snider should continue to see regular playing time as long as Andrew McCutchen (ribs) remains out.(RotoWire, )

News: Snider went 1-for-3 with his 10th homer of the year against the Tigers on Wednesday. Impact: He has six hits in his last 12 at-bats, including five extra-base hits (two doubles, three homers) and seven RBI. Snider will continue to see steady playing time with Andrew McCutchen (rib) on the DL. McCutchen is eligible to come back Aug. 19, but could be out longer.(RotoWire, )

News: Snider went 3 for 5 with two homers and four RBIs in Monday's 11-6 win over Detroit. Impact: Snider hadn't been doing much before this effort, going 5 for 31 with no homers and four RBIs over his previous 11 games.(STATS, 5:12pm)

News: Snider went 3-for-5 with two home runs, four RBI, three runs scored, and one double Monday against the Tigers. Impact: Snider exploded Monday, as the Pirates scored 11 runs as a team. Although this was impressive, he's only hitting .251 with nine home runs and 29 RBI this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Snider's pinch-hit single Thursday gave him two hits in his last 18 at-bats as his recent hot bat has cooled in August. Impact: He's 2-for-6 against Friday starter Ian Kennedy and could be back in the starting lineup. Interestingly, the outfielder was spotted taking ground balls at first base during practice prior to Thursday's game.(RotoWire, )

News: Snider is out of the lineup Thursday against the Marlins. Impact: Snider will take a seat Wednesday with the left-handed Brian Flynn on the mound for the Marlins. Josh Harrison will move into left field in his place, with Jayson Nix starting at third and Michael Martinez at second.(RotoWire, )

News: Snider went 1 for 4 on Wednesday. Impact: Snider will be better remembered for a witless baserunning blunder that saw the Bucs run into a double play in the sixth inning. Pittsburgh had runners on second and third when Chris Stewart walked with one out. Snider had left second base, apparently thinking it was a bases-loaded walk. He got caught in a rundown and Gaby Sanchez broke for home with both runners being tagged out as the rally ended in a play that will be endlessly replayed in blooper reels forever.(STATS, 4:49pm)
