News: Hudson (9-12) took the loss Friday against the Padres as he gave up five runs (four earned) on seven hits in 4.1 innings pitched. Impact: It's likely that Hudson's hip injury is still affecting his production as his ERA has jumped from 2.90 to 3.52 as of Aug. 27. He has allowed 18 earned runs over his last four starts and is hurting the Giants more than helping. Stay tuned on Hudson as he remains day-to-day.(RotoWire, )

News: Hudson has been bothered by a sore right hip for the past eight or nine days, but is determined to keep keep pitching through it, the San Francisco Chronicle's Henry Schulman reports. Impact: He was demolished by the Dodgers in his last start, giving up eight hits and six runs while facing just 11 hitters in a 17-0 loss. Hudson won't make excuses, but it's reasonable to assume the hip is bothering him, at least a little. Still, he is expected to make his next start Friday in San Diego, which should offer him a perfect opportunity to put together a better outing.(RotoWire, )

News: Hudson lasted only one inning Saturday, allowing six runs on eight hits while striking out two in a loss to the Dodgers. Impact: After giving up four runs in the first, Hudson started the second by giving up consecutive singles to Dee Gordon and Yasiel Puig before being pulled from the game. It was the shortest outing in Hudson's 16-year career. The veteran is 0-2 in September and has given up 14 runs in 12 innings over three starts for the month.(RotoWire, )

News: Hudson turned in six innings Sunday's loss to the Tigers, giving up three earned runs on eight hits and a walk while notching just one strikeout. Impact: Hudson managed a quality effort Sunday night, but the veteran righty was certainly not at his best during the first week of September. In two starts over the past seven days, the four-time All-Star allowed nine runs (eight earned) on 15 hits across 11 innings. Hudson will look to regain his top form next weekend versus the Dodgers.(RotoWire, )
