News: Pearce will be in the lineup for the eighth consecutive game Monday against the Rays, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. He'll play first base and bat second in the order. Impact: Pearce's offensive surge earlier this summer put him on the fantasy radar in just about all fantasy formats, but once his production tapered off, he began to settle into more of a part-time role. However, the season-ending injury to Manny Machado appears to have created a renewed opportunity for Pearce, who has reemerged as a regular at first base while Chris Davis moves over to third. He's collected hits in each of his last seven starts, producing five doubles, three homers and four RBI. His hot bat and favorable placement in the lineup probably makes Pearce worthy of another look if he's available on the waiver wire.(RotoWire, )
