News: Vogt went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's win over the Rangers. Impact: The return of Josh Reddick (knee) from the disabled list last week was expected to squeeze Vogt out of some playing time, but the 29-year-old has kept himself a lineup mainstay by turning in three multi-hit games in his last four starts. While Reddick still stands to occupy right field most nights, the Athletics situation at DH remains rather fluid, opening the door for Vogt to receive consistent at-bats while he continues to carry a batting average well north of .300.(RotoWire, )

News: Vogt is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Astros, CSN California's Joe Stiglich reports. Impact: He won't be catching in the short term, due to a minor foot injury, and it's not a surprise to see him out of the lineup against lefty Brett Oberholtzer, as manager Bob Melvin said before Tuesday's game that he sees Vogt being in the lineup almost everyday against righties, even when Josh Reddick returns. His splits this season don't really back up Vogt being clearly superior against righties, but the A's have other options that do have better numbers against southpaws.(RotoWire, )

News: Vogt isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Orioles. Impact: Vogt brought a 12-game hitting streak into the final game before the All-Star break, but in two outings in the interim, he's failed to produce a hit in seven at-bats.
