News: Strasburg gave up four runs on nine hits and three walks, while striking out five over 5.1 innings, in a loss to the Rockies on Wednesday. Impact: The Nats spotted Strasburg a run in the top of the first, but he gave it right back and then some in the bottom of the frame. Strasburg allowed four hits and a walk in the inning, as the Rockies jumped out to a lead they would not surrender, but Strasburg settled down to a certain extent and at least kept his team in it. However, the nine hits allowed matched a season high, and Strasburg has now failed to turn in a quality start in any of his last three turns.(RotoWire, )

News: Strasburg allowed four runs on seven hits, walking one and striking out nine over seven innings of a 4-2 loss to the Brewers on Friday night. Impact: Strasburg (7-7, 3.55 ERA) struggled out of the gate, as Milwaukee scored in each of the first three innings. He also served up a pair of home runs. Strasburg then settled in and was untouched over the next four innings but his offense couldn't overcome the deficit. He'll face a tough challenge in his next outing in Coors Field against the Rockies.(RotoWire, )

News: Strasburg will start the Nationals' first game after the All-Star break, which comes Friday against the Brewers, the Washington Post reports. Impact: He'll be followed by Gio Gonzalez and Doug Fister, but the rest of the Nats' rotation depends on whether Jordan Zimmermann's biceps injury will require a DL stint. Strasburg's first half ratios are a little off his usual pace (3.46 ERA, 1.22 WHIP) but he does have seven wins and an outstanding 149:26 K:BB mark in 125 innings.(RotoWire, )

News: Strasburg pitched a second straight no decision Saturday, fanning nine -- for the second start in a row -- while allowing two earned runs on seven hits in 5.2 innings against the Phillies. Impact: In typical Strasburg fashion, he racked up strikeouts while limiting the free passes (two). He wraps up the first half of 2014 having walked two or less batters in 18-of-20 starts, while posting an elite 149:26 K:BB and 7-6 record in 125 innings. Additionally, while he leads the Nats in strikeouts and sits second in wins, he's a disappointing fourth in both WHIP (1.22) and ERA (3.46) among Washington starters.(RotoWire, )
