News: Romo will share the closing duties with Santiago Casilla going forward, CSN Bay Area reports. Impact: Romo was removed the closer role over a month ago but has been solid in the 18 appearances since then (2.08 ERA). Current closer Santiago Casilla blew his first save Wednesday, but he had been struggling in general recently (4.70 ERA over last eight appearances) and manager Bruce Bochy has decided to use both relievers in save opportunities going forward. Romo is definitely worth an add for those in need of some late-season saves.(RotoWire, )

News: Romo earned his first save since he was removed from the closer's role over a month ago. He retired two batters, allowing a hit and striking out one in a win over Philadelphia on Saturday. Impact: Before owners scramble to the waiver wire to pick Romo back up, it is important to note that incumbent closer Santiago Casilla was given the day off by manager Bruce Bochy after surrendering a run in three consecutive outings (none of which were save situations). Until Bochy loses faith in Casilla's ability to close out games, Romo will continue to be used in the seventh and eighth innings.(RotoWire, )
