News: Baker (triceps) will not make his next scheduled start Friday against the Angels, Jeff Wilson of Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Impact: Scratched last weekend due to a bout of right triceps tendinitis, Baker has reported improvement in recent days but still is not ready to pitch. Lisalverto Bonilla will draw another start in his absence, but the hope is likely that Baker can return and make one more start before the year is out.(RotoWire, )

News: Baker has been scratched from his scheduled start Saturday against the Braves with right triceps tendinitis. Impact: With Baker ailing, the Rangers will be forced to turn to Lisalverto Bonilla to make his first career start. Baker should be considered day-to-day and questionable to make his next turn until more information becomes available.(RotoWire, )

News: Baker labored through 4.1 innings on Friday night, giving up five earned runs on four hits and a walk while striking out three in a loss to the Mariners. Impact: Coming off back-to-back solid efforts, Baker was unable to keep it going. The veteran right-hander has pitched mostly out of the bullpen this season but has now seen three consecutive turns in the Rangers' rotation. His role going forward is a bit up in the air, but a possible fourth straight start for Baker would likely come Thursday versus the Angels or Friday against the Braves.(RotoWire, )
