News: Dickey (8-10) allowed four runs on nine hits, walking one and striking out five over six innings in Wednesday's win over the Red Sox. Impact: Dickey wasn't sharp in this one, though he did rebound after an ugly first inning in which he allowed three runs on four hits. The three runs all came on one swing by David Ortiz, who launched the 19th homer Dickey has given up this season. After the shaky first, Dickey settled down for the most part, allowing just five hits and one run over his final five frames. He'll get another crack at the Red Sox when he takes them on in Fenway next week.(RotoWire, )

News: Dickey took the loss Friday night, allowing five runs on six hits. He did not walk a batter, and struck out seven over seven innings of a 5-1 defeat at the hands of the Rangers. Impact: Dickey (7-10, 3.95 ERA) had been sharper in recent starts and didn't pitch all that badly in this one if it wasn't for his season-long nemesis, the long ball. Adrian Beltre tagged him for a solo shot in the fifth inning before J.P. Arencibia drilled a three-run shot in the seventh to put the game out of reach. He will try to get back on track in a home start against Boston next time out.(RotoWire, )
