News: Kendrick is still scheduled to take his regular turn in the rotation Friday, CSN Philadelphia reports. Impact: Manager Ryne Sandberg had indicated that Kendrick's rotation spot could be in jeopardy after a poor outing Sunday. It looks like he will get at least one more shot to prove he belongs in the rotation when he faces the Diamondbacks at home.(RotoWire, )

News: Kendrick fell to 4-10 on Sunday. Impact: Kendrick, who created a big mess in the third, gave up five hits, six runs, two walks and struck out one in five innings. Over his last six starts, Kendrick is 1-4 with a 6.99 ERA.(STATS, 5:01pm)

News: Manager Ryne Sandberg was noncommittal when asked after Sunday's game if Kendrick's rotation spot was safe, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. "We'll see if we have conversations about things, about personnel, and go from there," Sandberg said. Impact: Kendrick gave up six earned runs on five hits and two walks in Sunday's loss to the Braves. He has a 5.38 ERA in the last calendar year, which is the worst ERA for any pitcher with at least 30 starts during that span. The upcoming trade deadline makes it unlikely that Kendrick would lose his rotation spot as the Phillies could trade one or two starters leaving them with limited rotation options.(RotoWire, )

News: Kendrick struggled through five innings, giving up six earned runs on five hits and two walks while registering only one strikeout in Sunday's loss to the Braves. Impact: Kendrick continues to contribute mostly negative results to the Phillies' cause, especially over the past month. In his last six starts, the 29-year-old hurler has managed just a 1-4 record to go with a 6.99 ERA and 1.39 WHIP across 37.1 innings. Kendrick is expected to be back on the mound Friday versus the Diamondbacks.(RotoWire, )

News: Kendrick won for the first time in four starts despite allowing a career high-matching seven runs along with 11 hits in just 5 2-3 innings of Tuesday's 9-7 victory at Milwaukee. Impact: Kendrick became just the fourth major leaguer this season and the 16th since 2010 to win while giving up at least seven runs.(STATS, 6:18pm)
Wed. July 9, 2014
News: Kendrick pitched 5.2 innings Tuesday, allowing seven runs on 11 hits (including three home runs) and two walks but still picked up his fourth (4-8) win of the year in the Phillies' 9-7 win over the Brewers. Impact: Kendrick got the necessary run support and completed the requisite five innings pitched to pick up the win in an otherwise ugly performance. In his last five starts(spanning 33.2 innings pitched) Kendrick has given up 20 runs and has continued to be terribly inconsistent this year. He now owns a 4.46 ERA and 1.37 WHIP in 115 innings pitched this year. His next start is scheduled for Sunday at home against Washington.(RotoWire, )
