News: Morales went 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI in Saturday's win over the Orioles. Impact: The base hit was the first for Morales with his new team, and the RBI was his second in as many days. Things didn't work out for him in Minnesota, but he's back with a team he's familiar with and will continue to get everyday at-bats for a team that's hungry for some offense.(RotoWire, )

News: Morales will serve primarliy as the DH in Seattle, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports. Impact: While Morales mans the DH spot, look for Corey Hart and Logan Morrison to platoon at first base. Neither of these options has performed particularly well from an offensive standpoint this season, but manager Lloyd McClendon will roll the dice in hopes of deploying the right combination on a given day.(RotoWire, )

News: The Seattle Mariners have reacquired first baseman Kendrys Morales in a trade with the Minnesota Twins for minor-league pitcher Stephen Pryor. The deal was done Thursday. Impact: Morales spent under seven weeks with the Twins, who signed him to boost their lineup as a designated hitter but have used him often at first base with Joe Mauer injured. Morales hit .234 in 39 games with 11 doubles, one home run and 18 RBIs.(STATS, 3:27pm)

News: Morales was traded to the Mariners on Thursday for reliever Stephen Pryor. He will report to the team Friday. Impact: With the Twins apparently waving the white flag on contending this season, Morales will be dealt back to his former club after spending less than two months in Minneapolis. Morales has just one home run and a .584 OPS in 39 games with Twins this year, but the Mariners hope he can bring some power, especially from the right side, to a lineup that desperately needs another bat. And despite his struggles this season, Morales is still an upgrade over Seattle's designated hitters, who have hit .196/.277/.293, and he can't be much worse than Corey Hart, who has struggled to provide much offense since returning from a hamstring injury July 4.(RotoWire, )

News: Morales went 1-for-3 in Saturday's loss to Tampa Bay to extend a nine-game hitting streak. He's hitting .278 (10-for-36) over that span. Impact: Morales had been in a 7-for-38 slump before starting the hitting streak. With the Twins falling further into last place, he's a candidate to be traded by the end of the month since he's signed to just a one-year deal.(RotoWire, )
