News: Ramirez has a good shot at opening the 2015 season as the Indians' starting shortstop, the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Paul Hoynes reports. Impact: Manager Terry Francona said Cleveland's top prospect, Francisco Lindor, will start the season in the minor leagues, meaning Ramirez and Mike Aviles will split time at short to start the season. In 280 big-league plate appearances, Ramirez has a .262/.307/.353 slash line with two home runs and 10 steals. He has a relatively solid floor as a .260-.270 hitter with moderate speed and middle-infield eligibility, but that kind of production really only has value in deeper leagues, especially since he won't be starting everyday. Look for Lindor to get called up in the summer months and assume the starting shortstop job with the Indians.(RotoWire, )
