News: Papelbon said he won't be disappointed if he is still with the Phillies after the trade deadline, the team's official site reports. "I really, really like our situation down there in the bullpen," Papelbon said. "I really truly do. I like being a part of it. Just the circumstances are we're not in a playoff situation or a winning situation right now and, of course, if I had the opportunity to go to a playoff contending team that's all fine and dandy. But at the end of the day, if nothing happens, nothing happens. I don't have any control over that." Impact: Papelbon, who had a couple rough outings this week, locked down his 24th save of the season Thursday in a 2-1 win over the Giants. The trade market for closers is shrinking with the Angels and Tigers having made deals to address their bullpen needs. The Phillies are willing to eat some of Papelbon's salary to get a deal done. His high salary will also make him a waiver trade candidate in August if he is not moved by the July 31 deadline.(RotoWire, )

Impact: Papelbon entered in the ninth inning of a tie game and promptly loaded the bases before Hunter Pence cleared them with a flare down the right field line. The veteran closer now has a loss and a blown save in back-to-back games for Philly and could be wearing another uniform any day now.(RotoWire, )

Impact: Papelbon has a 17-team no-trade clause, but has said previously he would waive that to go close for a contending team.
