Impact: The 30-year-old Mayberry hit .213 with six home runs and 21 RBIs in 63 games for the Phillies this season. News: Mayberry (wrist) was traded to the Blue Jays on Sunday in exchange for minor league outfielder Gustavo Pierre, John Lott of the National Post reports. Impact: Mayberry, who is expected to return from the DL on Monday, is struggling at the plate this season, hitting just .213 with six home runs and 21 RBI in 63 games. He likely would have become a part-time player for Philadelphia over the final month of the season with rosters expanding, but he'll instead join a Blue Jays team still hoping to make a late charge at an AL Wild Card spot. He'll likely compete with Colby Rasmus and Kevin Pillar for starts in the Toronto outfield.(RotoWire, )

News: Mayberry (wrist) will likely be activated from the disabled list when rosters expand Monday, the Associated Press reports. Impact: Even with the Phillies looking ahead to 2015, they should have a pretty good idea as to what Mayberry can offer in the long run. As a result, he'll likely be a part-time player during the final four weeks of the season.(RotoWire, )

News: Mayberry (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, The Morning Call's Stephen Gross reports. Impact: He may not make it back to the Phillies until late August at the earliest, with manager Ryne Sandberg noting the outfielder would need at least six rehab games before a possible activation. Considering the Phillies basically know what they have in Mayberry, he will likely only see part-time duty once he returns, as it's a team in transition and other players need to be evaluated.(RotoWire, )
