News: Gyorko went 1-for-3 with his second homer in as many days Thursday against the Cardinals. Impact: Gyorko's been on fire in his four games since returning, racking up eight hits in 14 at-bats with a pair of homers and six RBI. His plate discipline still needs work, but it looks like he's gotten over whatever was troubling him early in the year -- possibly the foot issue that landed him on the DL in early June. Look into his availability.(RotoWire, )

News: Gyorko went 3-for-5 with a double, a solo home run, four RBI and two runs in Wednesday's 12-1 win over the Cardinals. Impact: He took Joe Kelly deep in the fourth inning for his sixth homer of the year, then added a bases-clearing double in the Padres' eight-run seventh inning. Gyorko missed nearly two months with plantar fasciitis, but since being activated from the disabled list, he's gone 6-for-11 in three games. The 25-year-old hit .249 with 23 home runs last season as a rookie, so the potential is there for him to turn things around after a miserable start, especially now that the foot concern is behind him.(RotoWire, )

News: Gyorko went 2-for-3 with an RBI in Tuesday's win over the Cardinals. Impact: The RBI single in the sixth inning proved to be the game winner. Gyorko was playing in his second game since missing nearly two months due to plantar fasciitis. He's still only hitting .171/.224/.276 in 210 at-bats this season, and will need to not only show that he's healthy, but start to hit, to put himself back on the fantasy radar.(RotoWire, )

News: Gyorko (foot) was activated from the 15-day DL on Monday, Padres' announcer Bob Scanlan reports. Impact: Gyorko hasn't taken the field for the Padres since June 3 due to plantar fasciitis, but will return to the lineup Monday afternoon and bat seventh in the order. The 25-year-old second baseman had been off to a slow start in 2014, batting just .162 with five home runs over 56 games. He was 7-for-24 at the plate during his six-game rehab stint, so the Friars felt he was ready for an activation. He'll likely take over reps at the keystone moving forward, with the recently-acquired Yangervis Solarte moving over to third base.(RotoWire, )

News: Gyorko (foot) will be activated from the DL on Monday, reports. Impact: After successfully completing a rehab assignment at Triple-A El Paso, Gyorko will be back in the mix for the first time since hitting the DL in early June. It was a slow recovery process for the second baseman, who was battling plantar fasciitis. In 56 games prior to hitting the DL, Gyorko struggled mightily, posting a paltry .162/.213/.270 slash line with five home runs and 34 RBI.(RotoWire, )

News: Gyorko (foot) went 2-for-6 with a run scored during his rehab outing Tuesday at Triple-A El Paso. Impact: Through three games, Gyorko is batting .250 (3-for-12) with two runs, one walk, and two strikeouts. On a positive note, the trio of appearances has taken place in a four-game span, which is an encouraging sign as it relates to his bout with plantar fasciitis. However, no date has yet been determined for his return to the Padres.(RotoWire, )

News: Gyorko (foot) was sent on a rehab assignment to Triple-A El Paso on Friday, Jeff Sanders of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. Impact: Gyorko has been on the disabled list since June 6 with plantar fasciitis in his left foot. He recently resumed baseball activities and began running at the Padres' spring training facility.
