News: Kipnis is still dealing with a sore hamstring and won't play Monday, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports. Impact: Kipnis has sat out three of the last five games with this hamstring issue, and it looks like the Indians are going to continue to take a cautious approach over the final week. It's been a down year for Kipnis, but injuries may have played a significant part in that, so he could be a good bounce-back candidate in 2015.(RotoWire, )

News: Kipnis is not in Monday's lineup. Impact: After a disappointing first half (.255, three home runs, 13 steals), Kipnis has had an even worse second half (.230, three home runs, nine steals in 10 fewer games). It will be interesting to see how Kipnis is valued heading into the 2015 season, but there's a chance he could be a nice bounce-back candidate if people react heavily to his lack of production this season. Mike Aviles will start at second base Monday as Kipnis gets a day off.(RotoWire, )

News: Kipnis (hamstring) went 2-for-5 with a double in Sunday's win over the Twins. Impact: Kipnis was lifted for a pinch runner in the ninth inning, so watch out Monday to make sure that was just a precaution and not an aggravation of the hamstring injury.(RotoWire, )

News: Kipnis (hamstring) is still considered day-to-day, and could be available off the bench Saturday, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports. Impact: Kipnis also hasn't been ruled out for Sunday. He has missed three of the past four games because of the injury, but the strain appears to be minor enough to not keep him out for an extended period of time. He should return to the lineup in the next few days assuming he doesn't suffer a setback of any kind.(RotoWire, )

News: Kipnis (hamstring) remains out of the lineup Saturday against the Twins, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports. Impact: Manager Terry Francona was hoping to have Kipnis back Saturday, but apparently, the team still has some reservations about the health of his injured hamstring. A return for Sunday's series finale seems entirely possible, however, with Francona saying, "I think when you say 'day-to-day,' we really are legitimately day-to-day."(RotoWire, )

News: The Indians are hopeful that Kipnis (hamstring) will be able to return to the lineup Saturday, MLB.com reports. "He showed up and actually exhibited pretty good strength," manager Terry Francona said prior to Friday's game. "He's sore enough where we're not going to play him today. We would see about tomorrow, but I think we're more in that range, as opposed to four or five days. I think when you say 'day to day,' we really are legitimately day to day." Impact: You can be sure the Indians are going to insert Kipnis back into the lineup as soon as possible as they fight for a playoff spot. He may not be running much in the last week of the season given his balky hamstring however.(RotoWire, )

Impact: Kipnis' leg soreness was initially described as "typical September fatigue," but he made it just seven innings Thursday before his hamstring started barking again. Wed. Sep 17, 2014
News: Kipnis is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Astros. Impact: With the season winding down for the Indians, manager Terry Francona will find a day of rest for Kipnis, who has played on a near-everyday basis since returning from an oblique injury in May. Considering his lofty average draft position in the spring, Kipnis' season has been a major disappointment, as his numbers across the board are well below the levels of last season. At 27 years old, it's still within his capacity to turn things around, and he could be had at a relative bargain price entering the 2015 season.(RotoWire, )
