News: Santiago will have his next start pushed back to Thursday against the Twins, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports. Impact: Santiago was initially in position to start Tuesday against the Astros, putting him on track for a two-start week, with the latter turn to come next Sunday against the Twins. Instead, the Angels will use Monday's open date in the schedule as an excuse to move top pitchers C.J. Wilson and Jered Weaver up a day, with Santiago getting the shaft as a result.(RotoWire, )

News: Santiago allowed one run on three hits while striking out six in 5.2 innings to pick up a win over the Marlins on Wednesday. Impact: Santiago is unlikely to become an efficient pitcher before the end of the season, but he has been strong for the Angels since the All-Star break, tallying a 1.46 ERA in 43 innings over nine games (seven starts). He also seems to have found his strikeout pitch, having fanned 21 batters in his last 22.2 frames. He will try to keep the ball rolling when he faces the Astros on Tuesday.(RotoWire, )

News: Santiago allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits while striking out five in five innings en route to a no decision against the A's on Friday. He walked two batters in the contest. Impact: Santiago has been on a nice run of late, allowing two earned runs in his last three starts (17 innings) while striking out 15 over that span. Despite the fact that he's throwing the ball well, he may still be seen as a tough player to own due to his propensity for short outings, as he has thrown seven innings in a start just once this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Santiago allowed one run on four hits and one walk while striking out five in six innings in the Angels' 3-2 loss to the Rangers on Sunday. Impact: The 26-year-old has allowed just one run in his last two starts, spanning 12 innings. He holds a 2.38 ERA in August, which has lowered his season ERA to 3.46. He'll be back on the mound Friday to face Jason Hammel and the Athletics.(RotoWire, )
