News: Gonzalez lasted just 3.2 innings against Philadelphia on Thursday, allowing five runs and six hits. He issued one walk and struck out two. Impact: Gonzalez looked good in his last start with seven innings of one-run ball, but his outing before that was also a short one, as he went just 3.1 frames against Milwaukee. The talented lefty hasn't been as reliable as he was last year, and certainly not as good as he was in 2012, but he's still providing fantasy owners with plenty of strikeouts; he's fanned 100 batters in 97.1 innings.(RotoWire, )

News: Gonzalez lost in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Cincinnati despite a sparkling performance, limiting the Reds to a run and four hits over seven innings with eight strikeouts. Impact: Gonzalez is 3-2 with a 1.66 ERA over his last six starts but has received a combined four runs of support over his last three outings.(STATS, 3:23pm)

News: Gonzalez (6-6) allowed one run on four hits, walking two and striking out eight across seven innings, but was handed the loss in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to the Reds. Impact: It was a nice bounce-back outing for Gonzalez, who lasted just 3.1 innings in his prior start versus the Brewers. Brayan Pena singled in Chris Heisey in the fifth inning for what turned out to be the only run of the game, as Johnny Cueto and the Reds' bullpen held the Nationals scoreless. Gonzalez will face the Phillies in his next scheduled start.(RotoWire, )

News: Gonzalez did not get a decision in an awful effort Sunday. Impact: Gonzalez allowed three runs on four hits with four walks and five strikeouts on 88 pitches over 3 1-3 innings. He should do better next time vs. the Reds.(STATS, 5:36pm)

News: Gonzalez struggled against the Brewers on Sunday and was pulled after throwing 88 pitches in 3.1 innings. He surrendered three runs while striking out five and walking three. Impact: This was a frustrating start for Gonzalez, who had previously pitched well against the Brewers, holding a 2-0 record and 1.89 ERA in three career starts. It could have been much worse for Gonzalez, who had to work his way out of a bases-loaded jam with one out in the second inning. The 28-year-old lefty also notched his 1,000th career strikeout in Sunday's game.(RotoWire, )

News: Gonzalez has had his next start pushed back from Saturday to Sunday, Caitlin Swieca of MLB.com reports. Impact: Gonzalez's initial flight back from the All-Star break was canceled, which caused his to miss his throw day, and rather than have him take the mound without tossing a bullpen session, Nationals manager Matt Williams elected to flip Gonzalez's turn with Tanner Roark's.(RotoWire, )
