News: Santana will not accept the $15.3 million qualifying offer extended to him by the Braves, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports. Impact: Santana has elected to go the route of free agency after posting a 3.95 ERA and 1.31 WHIP in 2014. He made the same move last season, but only ended up with a one-year, $14.1 million deal. The 31-year-old will take his chances again in free agency, though it will be interesting to see if he's able to secure more than a two-year deal on the open market.(RotoWire, )

News: The Atlanta Braves made a $15.3 million qualifying offer to Santana on Monday. Impact: Santana, who will turn 32 next month, went 14-10 with a 3.95 ERA in 31 starts for the Braves. He was hastily signed during spring training to a $14.1 million, one-year deal after the Braves lost Kris Medlen and Brandon Beachy to season-ending injuries. Santana has until Nov. 10 to accept. If he signs with another major league team before June 8, the Braves would receive a compensatory draft pick at the end of the first round of next year's amateur draft.(STATS, 6:19pm)
