News: Hosmer continued his late-season hot streak Thursday against the White Sox, going 3-for-5 with a homer and two RBI. Impact: He's hit in seven straight, notching multiple base knocks in five of those games. And although he still hasn't been hitting many home runs (Thursday's was his first since Sept. 14), Hosmer has rapped out five doubles over the course of this streak. It's not going to be enough to endear him to fantasy owners for next year, though.(RotoWire, )

News: Hosmer is out of the lineup Wednesday against the White Sox. Impact: Manager Ned Yost decided that with lefty Chris Sale on the mound for the White Sox, it was an optimal time to give Hosmer a day off. He's been in the lineup for each of the Royals' 15 games since being activated from the DL on Sept. 1, batting .264/.339/.472 during that time.(RotoWire, )
