News: Chavez (finger) is back in the lineup Wednesday vs. the Indians, Shannon Drayer of 710 AM ESPN Seattle reports. Impact: Chavez was out of the lineup for the previous three games with the finger injury, but did feel well enough to pinch-hit in Tuesday's contest. He'll see duty for now as the team's primary right fielder, but with the Mariners at the center of trade discussions for several outfielders, Chavez could be relegated to bench role within the next couple of days.(RotoWire, )

News: Chavez (finger) remains out of the lineup Tuesday against the Indians, the Tacoma News Tribune reports. Impact: Chavez will miss his third straight game after sitting out both Saturday and Sunday with a jammed finger on his right hand. While the injury is certainly a contributing factor to his absence, Chavez has been losing playing time of late, particularly against lefties. Right-hander Trevor Bauer is on the hill for Cleveland on Tuesday, though, so the finger is likely still an issue. Continue to consider him day-to-day and questionable for Wednesday's contest.(RotoWire, )

News: Chavez (finger) remains out of the lineup Sunday against the Orioles, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports. Impact: Chavez was a late scratch Saturday due to a jammed right finger and will miss Sunday's contest as well. It's not a certainty that his absence is due to injury, however, as he had been losing playing time of late to Stefen Romero, at least against left-handed pitching. Chavez may have gotten the nod Sunday against righty Miguel Gonzalez, but Corey Hart will instead take his place in right field.(RotoWire, )

News: Chavez was scratched from Saturday's lineup due to a jammed finger, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports. Impact: The extent of the injury is uncertain, so consider Chavez day-to-day for the time being. He presumably injured himself on a headfirst slide Friday. Corey Hart was added to the lineup in right after Chavez's removal.(RotoWire, )

News: Chavez was a late scratch from Saturday's lineup, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports. Impact: A reason for Chavez's scratch was not immediately provided by team, but the timing suggests an injury is in play. Corey Hart will step in to man right in his absence, with James Jones moving atop the batting order.(RotoWire, )

News: Chavez is out of the lineup Thursday against the Orioles, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Impact: With lefty Wei-Yin Chen starting for the Orioles, manager Lloyd McClendon will cut down on his surplus of left-handed bats by moving Chavez, Brad Miller and Logan Morrison to the bench. Stefen Romero assumes Chavez's spot in the outfield.(RotoWire, )
