News: Jackson (hand) does not expect to miss his next scheduled start, MLB.com's Carrie Muskat reports. Impact: Cramping in Jackson's right hand knocked him out of Thursday's game, but he said he has experienced a similar issue before, and apparently does not consider the injury serious. Jackson should be good to go for his next outing so long as he can make it through a side session or two over the next few days.(RotoWire, )

News: Jackson was removed from Thursday's game in the sixth inning due to cramping in his right hand, MLB.com's Carrie Muskat reports. Impact: Jackson didn't have his best stuff prior to exiting Thursday's game, and it's likely the hand issue played a factor. Consider Jackson questionable for his next start until more details become available.(RotoWire, )

News: Jackson gave up three runs on seven hits in 5.1 innings pitched in a no-decision on Friday against the Diamondbacks. Impact: He didn't have a horrible night, but Jackson gave up some untimely hits in an 88-pitch performance where he saw his ERA bump up to 5.61 on the season. Jackson struggled to stay ahead of hitters, although he did get 11 groundball outs on the evening. The Cubs pitcher is expected to take the mound next week against the Padres.(RotoWire, )

News: Jackson was charged with a season-high nine runs in an 11-6 loss to Atlanta on Sunday. Impact: Jackson (5-10, 5.64 ERA) also gave up seven hits, including a trio of homers, and four walks in his 3 2-3 innings. He has just five quality outings in 19 starts this season and one in his last 10 games.(STATS, 3:54pm)

News: Jackson took his 10th loss of the season Saturday against the Braves, allowing nine runs on seven hits and four walks over 3.2 innings. Impact: There weren't any positives to take away from this one, as Jackson allowed three home runs and only fanned three batters, despite facing the lousy Atlanta lineup. He'll head into the break with a 5.64 ERA and 1.58 WHIP, though his 4.24 FIP and 4.01 xFIP indicate that he hasn't been quite as bad as the more traditional numbers indicate. With no plans to compete and a lack of viable alternatives, the Cubs will likely let Jackson try to work things out. He'll probably fare a bit better in the second half, but there's no question that he is pitching poorly this season.(RotoWire, )
