News: Navarro (head) is back in the lineup Friday against the Yankees, John Lott of the National Post reports. Impact: Navarro was afforded two days to shake the cobwebs after taking a foul ball off his catcher's mask Tuesday, but he'll step back in Friday to face right-hander Hiroki Kuroda. While Navarro is batting .317/.383/.561 so far this month, he's just 1-for-6 with a single in his career against Kuroda.(RotoWire, )

News: Navarro (head) is not in the lineup Thursday against the Yankees, Barry Davis of Sportsnet.ca reports. Impact: Navarro will sit for a second straight day, after taking a foul ball off his facemask during Tuesday's game. Josh Thole is the personal catcher for Thursday's starter R.A. Dickey, so Navarro would have sat anyway. Consider Navarro day-to-day ahead of Friday's tilt.(RotoWire, )

News: Updating a previous report, Navarro is out of the lineup Wednesday after he took a foul ball off his catcher's mask Tuesday night, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports. Impact: The Blue Jays will presumably put Navarro through a number of tests to determine whether or not he suffered a concussion as a result of the incident. Since the team is effectively out of the running for a Wild Card berth, it wouldn't be surprising if Navarro is kept out a few days as a precaution. Josh Thole and George Kottaras would serve as the Jays' primary catchers until Navarro is cleared to return.(RotoWire, )

News: Navarro is not in the lineup Saturday against the Rays, Barry Davis of Sportsnet.ca reports. Impact: Josh Thole will handle his normal duties as R.A. Dickey's personal catcher, as Navarro sits following an 0-for-4, three-strikeout performance Friday. Despite the poor showing, Navarro is still batting .379 with two homers so far in September.(RotoWire, )
