News: Wright (neck) is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Braves. Impact: Wright left Sunday's game with a muscle spasm on the right side of his neck, and the injury will cause him to miss Tuesday's contest as well. The origin of the injury is unclear, but he is still day-to-day.(RotoWire, )

News: Wright was removed from Sunday's game against the Dodgers with a muscle spasm on the right side of his neck. Impact: It's not certain how the injury came about, but there's a chance it might be related to the shoulder soreness he first experienced just over a week ago, even though that soreness was to his left shoulder. Fortunately, the Mets will have an open date in the schedule Monday, which may be all the time he needs to recover from the issue.(RotoWire, )

News: Wright's nightmarish season continued Saturday, as he struck out twice and grounded into two double plays as part of an 0-for-5 night. Impact: Wright also had the ignominy of having Daniel Murphy walked in front of him so that the Dodgers could face him with runners on base. It worked out well for Los Angeles, as Wright struck out to end the inning. Wright is vulnerable to breaking pitches on the outer half, but because he is also struggling getting around on fastballs, moving closer to the plate would not rectify either situation. His .323 on-base percentage and .368 slugging percentage are the worst of his career by far and each show no signs of rising, as he is 2-for-his-last-29 with no extra-base hits in his last 60 at-bats.(RotoWire, )

News: Wright is still dealing with shoulder soreness, which suggests his absence could extend past Sunday, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Impact: Wright is still not at 100 percent, and the Mets have little motivation to force him into action before he's ready. It sounds like the third baseman could easily miss at least another game or two, so look for Eric Campbell to see increased run in the short term.(RotoWire, )

News: Wright (shoulder) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Cubs. Impact: Wright has been dealing with a sore shoulder and was expected to receive Sunday off. Eric Campbell will take over at the hot corner and is a likely candidate to do so more frequently moving forward. With the Mets seemingly out of the NL Wild Card race, expect Wright to receive routine maintenance days over the final part of the season. His last day off was all the way back on July 4.(RotoWire, )

News: Wright (shoulder) will likely receive a day off Sunday, with the potential to rest longer if he's still experiencing soreness in the area, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Impact: The Mets are at a point in their season where Wright's long-term health is more important than squeezing extra games out of him during the final six weeks of the season when there are still six years left on his contract. Eric Campbell will likely see an uptick in playing time in Wright's absence.(RotoWire, )

News: Wright was removed from Saturday's game with shoulder soreness after being hit by a pitch, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Impact: As a result of the ailment, Wright is day-to-day. The pitch actually hit the exact area that has been bothering Wright since the first half of the season. Eric Campbell took over at third base upon Wright's departure.(RotoWire, )

News: Wright left Saturday's game after getting hit in the back with a pitch, Matt Ehalt of the Bergen Record reports. Impact: The specific location of the injury is uncertain, but Eric Campbell eventually replaced Wright after he attempted to stay in the game upon being hit.(RotoWire, )

News: Wright went 2-for-4 Wednesday, extending his hit streak to 12 games, but beyond the hits, there is little positive about the streak. Impact: In those 12 games, Wright has just one extra base hit and his OPS has actually fallen from .721 to .718. In the last month, Wright has just one home run and 13 RBI and is on pace to hit just 13 home runs with 76 runs batted in for the season.(RotoWire, )
