News: Price allowed nine consecutive hits to the New York Yankees in the third inning before being pulled Wednesday night, a stunning outing for the left-hander who had thrown a one-hitter in his previous start. Impact: The Yankees scored eight runs in the inning, all charged to Price. Jacoby Ellsbury, New York's leadoff hitter, was also batting first in the third - so the Yankees went all the way through their batting order, with each batter adding a hit before reliever Blaine Hardy replaced Price and retired the first man he faced.(STATS, 9:18pm)

News: Price allowed eight runs on 12 hits over two innings in a loss to the Yankees on Wednesday. Impact: The eight runs allowed matched his total from his first four starts with the Tigers combined. In addition to the ratio damage, the poor outing Wednesday put even more strain on the heavily worked Detroit bullpen Wednesday. Price will make two starts next week, first in Cleveland on Monday before a home start against the Giants on September 6.(RotoWire, )

News: Price limited Tampa Bay to one run and one hit while striking out nine in eight innings Thursday, but he was stuck with the decision in a 1-0 loss to his old team. Impact: The left-hander is 1-1 with a 2.35 ERA in four starts since making the move to the AL Central.(STATS, 6:02pm)

News: Price (12-9) took a tough-luck loss to his old Rays mates Thursday, going eight innings and allowing just an unearned run on one hit and nine strikeouts. Impact: Price was about as good as you can be, but a first-inning error and then the lone hit he allowed -- an RBI triple by Brandon Guyer -- were all that Alex Cobb and the Rays needed. Following that first-inning run, Price tossed seven perfect innings, but it wasn't enough. Now just 1-1 in four starts as a Tiger, Price will have to hope for more offensive support when he faces the Yankees on Wednesday.(RotoWire, )
