News: Price will start Game 3 of the ALDS against the Orioles on Sunday, MLive.com reports. Impact: The decision to start Max Scherzer in Thursday's Game 1 was an easy one for manager Brad Ausmus, but there were several conversations about whether to start Justin Verlander or Price in Game 2. Verlander finished strong during the regular season and will thus be rewarded with the start over Price, who posted a 3.59 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 82:15 K:BB in his 11 starts for Detroit. Price will then go Sunday, with Rick Porcello to follow should the series go to four games.(RotoWire, )

News: Price recorded his 15th win Sunday in a 3-0 victory over Minnesota, striking out eight over 7 1-3 innings. Impact: Price has been a little disappointing for Detroit, going 4-4 with a 3.59 ERA in 11 starts, but he'll be a weapon in the playoffs if Sunday's outing was any indication.(STATS, 12:19pm)

News: Price logged 7.1 scoreless innings in Sunday's division-clinching win over Minnesota. He scattered four hits while racking up eight strikeouts. Impact: Price was at his best in this one and his quality start helped Detroit snag the AL Central crown. The left-hander had a couple of shaky starts in September, but his season numbers - 3.26 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 271 strikeouts across 248.1 innings - were excellent.(RotoWire, )

News: Price took a shutout into the ninth before faltering Tuesday. Impact: Price blew a 3-0 lead in the top of the ninth but his team scored in the bottom half to earn Joe Nathan a win. It's a tough blow for fantasy owners.(STATS, 6:16pm)

News: Despite tossing 8.2 innings Tuesday, Price came away with a no-decision against the White Sox, giving up three earned runs on eight hits while fanning eight and not issuing a walk. Impact: A walkoff single by Miguel Cabrera in the bottom of the ninth handed the Tigers -- and more specifically, Joe Nathan -- the win after Price gave up a pair of runs in the ninth to allow Chicago to tie things up. Price will get the ball again against Minnesota in the final game of the regular season Sunday in a tilt that could have enormous playoff implications for the current AL East-leading Tigers.(RotoWire, )
