News: Nava went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Monday night's extra-inning win over Toronto. Impact: Boston's outfield, unproductive all season, is suddenly crowded. With the surplus and a developing market for Nava, the Red Sox may end up dealing him in the coming week.(RotoWire, )

News: Nava batted leadoff and started at first base in place of the injured Mike Napoli (back) on Friday. He went 1-for-4 with a run and struck out once in a loss to the Mariners. Impact: Brock Holt was getting a rare night off, so Nava filled in as the leadoff hitter. It's a vote of confidence from manager John Farrell, who has talked about getting Nava regular at-bats once Allen Craig was healthy. In the two games since Craig returned from a foot injury, Nava has started both. His ability to play first base and corner outfield gives the manager some options when rotating guys in and out. Of course, we'll need to see how the Rusney Castillo situation plays out over the final month of the season. The Cuban free agent will impact Nava's playing time.(RotoWire, )

News: Manager John Farrell said he'll find ways to keep the hot-hitting Nava in the lineup even when Allen Craig (foot) returns from the disabled list, the Boston Globe reports. "We'll be able to keep Daniel with a minimum number of at-bats," Farrell said. "For as well as he's swinging the bat, we're going to find a way to get him in the lineup. Much like we did with Brock Holt earlier, there'll be a way that we can accommodate all this." Impact: Farrell was short on details, but Nava has played first base in the past. And the team had Craig taking ground balls at first during his current rehab from a foot injury.(RotoWire, )

News: Nava went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Saturday night's win over Houston. It was his third straight multi-hit game. Impact: The news that Allen Craig's return from a foot injury is imminent -- he's set to begin a rehab assignment Monday -- means Nava may not remain in the lineup everyday. Once Craig's activated, the Red Sox will have him and Yoenis Cespedes hold down the corner outfield spots, which is too bad for Nava, who is hitting .331 with a .399 on-base percentage since June 1.(RotoWire, )

News: Nava went 2-for-3 with two doubles, a walk and a run scored in Thursday night's win over Houston. It was his second consecutive multi-hit game. Impact: When Boston acquired Allen Craig and Yoenis Cespedes at the trade deadline, conventional thought had Nava getting fewer at-bats, but circumstances have played out in such a way that Nava's been in the lineup pretty much everyday. Once Craig returns from the disabled list, that may change, but Nava is continuing a surge that began in June.(RotoWire, )

News: Nava went 2 for 3 with an RBI in Wednesday's 5-4 win over Cincinnati. Impact: Nava had been scuffling with five hits in 28 at-bats over his previous nine games.(STATS, 6:01pm)

News: Nava went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's win over the Reds. He sparked a rally for the second straight day. Impact: With Allen Craig (foot) out and Yoenis Cespedes (hand) leaving Wednesday's game, Nava should continue to find his name in the starting lineup the next week or so.(RotoWire, )
