News: Hudson will be shut down for the remainder of the 2014 season, MLB.com's Steve Gilbert reports. Impact: Hudson did not suffer any apparent injury over the final month of the season, but it appears that manager Kirk Gibson and the Diamondbacks have simply seen everything that they needed to see from the 27-year-old right-hander. He pitched in just three games this season, allowing four earned runs over 2.2 innings. Hudson missed the majority of the 2014 season due to his second Tommy John surgery, but hopes to be ready for the start of spring training in 2015.(RotoWire, )

News: Hudson will be unavailable for the next few days after throwing in the bullpen Wednesday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports. Impact: Hudson wasn't particularly sharp in his second appearance back from the DL, giving up three runs in two-thirds of an inning, so the Diamondbacks had him refine some things in a bullpen session. The right-hander will get a few days to rest up but should be able to get in a couple more games before the end of the year, as he looks to turn the page on his consecutive Tommy John surgeries.(RotoWire, )

After two surgeries in two years, Hudson was activated by the team on Monday. He'll likely continue to see relief work for the remainder of the season.(RotoWire, )

News: The Arizona Diamondbacks have reinstated Daniel Hudson from the disabled list, and the right-hander will likely work in relief in his return from two Tommy John operations. Impact: Hudson has not pitched for Arizona since June 26, 2012, when he tore the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow against the Braves. Hudson was set to return in June 2013, but had a second Tommy John surgery after re-injuring his elbow.(STATS, 1:03pm)
