News: Granderson, out of the starting lineup in two of the Mets' previous four games, is in the lineup, batting sixth, Friday against the Reds. Impact: Granderson is batting sixth for the first time since June 1, as his struggles, including a .210/.313/.354 line, have basically forced manager Terry Collins to move him down in the order. Granderson went through a radical redesign of his swing after the 2010 season and responded with big years in 2011 and 2012 before an injury-plagued 2013. He may need to go through a similar offseason adjustment for the Mets to obtain a decent return on the four-year, $60-million contract they gave Granderson last offseason.(RotoWire, )

News: Granderson is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Marlins, Marc Carig of Newsday reports. Impact: With Granderson stuck in a 1-for-26 skid that has dropped his batting average 10 points over that time, he'll get a day off to refine his approach. Kirk Nieuwenhuis will occupy Granderson's usual spot in right field Wednesday.(RotoWire, )
