News: Lewis got hammered for eight runs - seven earned - in five innings in Saturday's loss to the Angels. He gave up nine hits and a walk and struck out three. Impact: The loss snapped the Rangers' season-best seven-game winning streak and added to the Angels' league-leading record. In his past four starts against the Angels, Lewis is 0-4 with a 11.51 ERA. He'll take the mound for his last start of the season Thursday at home against the Oakland A's.(RotoWire, )

News: Lewis worked seven strong innings in Sunday's 10-3 victory over the Braves, allowing one earned run on five hits and a walk while striking out two. Impact: Lewis extended his recent run of solid pitching, as he has become a bit of a workhorse for the injury-plagued Rangers. Having now turned in at least seven innings in four consecutive starts, the veteran hurler has posted a 3.30 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 18:3 K:BB ratio across his last 30 frames. Lewis will be back on the bump Saturday versus the Angels.(RotoWire, )

News: Lewis gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits with zero walks and four strikeouts in seven innings Tuesday against the Angels. Impact: It was an excellent start by Lewis, but in keeping with the lack of fairness this season for the Rangers, he was handed his 13th loss for his efforts. Lewis has managed to steadily lower his ERA since an 11-run outing spiked it to 6.54 in early July, but there's a good chance he'll still finish the season with an ERA north of 5.00, which will make him an extremely cheap option on draft day in 2015. He'll take the mound again Sunday against the Braves.(RotoWire, )
