News: Lee is unlikely to be traded before the July 31 deadline, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Impact: Lee has made just two starts since returning from the disabled list and has not looked especially sharp in either. The Phillies will expose Lee to waivers in August, which he should clear given the $45.5 million he is still owed. That could allow for a deal to take place next month if Lee is back in form.(RotoWire, )

News: Lee was sub-par in a no-decision in Saturday's 10-6 loss to Arizona, surrendering three runs and nine hits over five innings. Impact: Lee has surrendered nine runs in a combined 10 2-3 innings in two outings since returning from a strained left elbow.(STATS, 3:35pm)

News: Lee gave up three runs on nine hits while striking out four over five innings in Saturday's 10-6 loss to the Diamondbacks. Impact: That's now two straight lackluster performances for Lee since being activated from the 15-day DL. He was in trouble for four of the five innings he worked, giving up at least two hits in those each of those four innings. Lee has now given up nine runs on 21 hits over 10.2 innings since returning to action after missing two months due to an elbow injury. Both Lee and manager Ryne Sandberg insist that the elbow isn't an issue and that it's simply just Lee building up arm strength again and working off some rust after missing two months. He'll look for better results when he takes on the Nationals in his next start.(RotoWire, )

News: Making his first start in two months, Lee allowed six runs and 12 hits over 5 2-3 innings in Monday's 7-4 loss to San Francisco. Impact: It wasn't a very impressive return for Lee, who failed to impress all the scouts in attendance. Despite the poor showing, there's still a chance Lee could be moved before the deadline.(STATS, 3:10pm)

News: Lee struggled in his return from the disabled list, allowing six runs in 5.2 innings Monday night against the Giants. Impact: A three-run sixth inning spoiled what would have been a fine return from the DL for the veteran lefty. Lee will look to settle back in against major league hitting when he takes the hill against the Diamondbacks this weekend.(RotoWire, )

News: Lee (elbow) was activated from the 60-day DL on Monday. Impact: Lee's activation comes exactly as expected, as he's slated to square off against Ryan Vogelsong and the Giants on Monday night. The left-hander allowed 11 runs (six earned) over 10.2 innings during three rehab outings, but the Phillies have been pleased enough with his progress to warrant an activation. Koyie Hill was outrighted in a corresponding move to make room for Lee on the 40-man roster.(RotoWire, )
Fri. July 18, 2014
News: Lee (elbow) is set to return to the mound Monday against the Giants, Matt Gilb of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Impact: Lee threw 76 pitches over 4.2 innings in a High-A rehab outing Monday. He appears to be ready to finally return from the disabled list and hopes to have limited restrictions. "As many as they will let me throw," Lee said, when asked about his plans. "I'm probably not going to want to come out when I come out. I don't know the exact number, but I feel strong and I feel good and I'm ready to try to help the team win." Monday's outing will be Lee's first since May 18.(RotoWire, )
Tue. July 15, 2014
News: Lee (elbow) allowed eight runs, three earned, in 4.2 innings for High-A Clearwater on Monday. He struck out two, walked one and hit a batter. Impact: Not what you want to see in a final tune-up before a return to the majors. The rough outing does not change the Phillies' plans of activating Lee for Monday's game against the Giants, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.(RotoWire, )
