News: Buchholz struck out five and walked two while holding the Blue Jays to two runs on four hits over 6.1 innings on Saturday night. Impact: For the first time all season, Buchholz has put together a stretch of three straight quality starts. The victory Saturday improved his record to 7-8 for the season, and he'll look to get back to .500 against the Royals in a road start Friday.(RotoWire, )

News: Buchholz pitched a complete game shutout, giving up three hits and walking none while striking out six in Sunday's win over the Rays. It was his second straight quality start and fourth in his last five outings. Impact: It was a very efficient start for Buchholz, who threw just 98 pitches and got first-pitch strikes on 23 of 29 batters. He dropped all of his pitches in for strikes. His recent stretch of good pitching comes on the heels of a four-start stretch when he was lit up for 23 runs in 22 innings. We got the good Buchholz on Sunday, but it's just as likely we will get the bad one when he next takes the hill Friday against the Blue Jays. Consistency is something the Red Sox will be looking for from him during the final month of the season.(RotoWire, )
