News: Sale struck out 13 over seven innings in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Tigers to improve to 11-3 on the season. He gave up three runs on six hits and two walks. Impact: The lefty got off on the wrong foot Saturday, surrendering solo homers to Ian Kinsler and Victor Martinez in the first inning, but he settled down from there, giving up just one extra-base hit over his final six frames. Sale's 13 strikeouts set a new season high, and he now has seven double-digit strikeout games this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Sale allowed four runs (all unearned) on four hits in six innings Sunday against the Yankees on Sunday, but he did not factor into the decision. He struck out seven and walked three. Impact: Sale was breezing through this one in typical Sale fashion, and it only became a clunker after Dayan Viciedo dropped a fly ball in the bottom of the sixth, paving the way for a four-run inning. The error made it so that all of the runs were unearned, but Sale did not help himself with two walks in the inning and a hit batsman that resulted in a run. His next start should come Saturday against Detroit.(RotoWire, )

News: Sale (10-3) took the loss Monday after giving up three runs on eight hits, including two home runs and striking out eight over six innings against the Orioles. Impact: J.J. Hardy and Nelson Cruz each took Sale deep in this one. It marks the first time the lefty has allowed two home runs in a game this season. Sale still owns a fantastic 2.12 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 158:26 K:BB ratio in 136 innings. He takes the hill Sunday in New York versus the Yankees.(RotoWire, )
