News: Sale (12-4) struggled against the Royals on Wednesday, surrendering five runs on nine hits in just five innings of work in a losing effort. Impact: He struggled a bit with his command in this one, and the Royals hit two of those mistake pitches over the wall. Lorenzo Cain's three-run home run in the third inning marked just the second time all season that Sale allowed a home run with more than one runner on base, and the fact that he only has four losses for a team that could very well lose 90 games should be considered an accomplishment. The clunker sent his season ERA back over 2.00, but he should still be in the discussion for this year's AL Cy Young Award.(RotoWire, )

News: Sale may only receive two more starts this season if the White Sox stick with a six-man rotation, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Impact: "Right now, we're going probably as what it is, probably just keep the six," Ventura said. Call-up Chris Bassitt is in line to make his third and fourth starts this week, which will reduce the number of outings needed from Sale by one. Tentatively, both of Sale's starts will come against AL Central contenders -- Detroit and Kansas City. Fortunately, Sale has done well against them this season - 3-1 in four starts with a 1.56 ERA and a 37:4 K:BB(RotoWire, )
