News: Davis (suspension) will report to Sarasota in the near future to work out while under suspension, Rich Dubroff of CSN reports. Impact: Davis will report to the club's instructional league team to receive some at-bats while away from the Orioles. It looks like a smart move, considering he was hitting just .196 on the season - nearly 100 points lower than his 2013 average. Facing a 25-game ban, Davis is suspended for the rest of the regular season, in addition to the first eight games of the playoffs, should the Orioles progress that far.(RotoWire, )

News: Davis has been suspended 25 games for using amphetamines, a punishment that will extend into the postseason. Impact: The Commissioner's office made the announcement on Friday morning, saying Davis would be suspended without pay "after testing positive for an Amphetamine in violation of Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program." News: Davis (suspension) has been removed from the 40-man roster, indicating that his suspension for amphetamine use will begin immediately, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports. Impact: Davis will miss the Orioles' remaining 17 regular season games and would sit out the first eight postseason games if the team makes it that far. Should Baltimore fail to play 25 more games, Davis' suspension would carry over into the start of the 2015 season. Details are still a bit murky, but it appears Davis' use of Adderall without an exemption triggered the suspension.(RotoWire, )
