News: Belt went 2-for-4 with a home run and a pair of RBI in Thursday's win over San Diego. Impact: Belt has now started three of the Giants' last four games, collecting four hits over that span. That being said, the Giants will probably rest him another day prior to their wild-card matchup with the Pirates.(RotoWire, )

News: Belt started at first Monday and went 2-for-6 with a run scored in the extra-inning win over the Dodgers. Impact: It was Belt's first hits since returning from the disabled list last week. He has started three of the Giants' last four games but will likely sit a couple more times before the season ends. He isn't worth relying on for the final week of the season in all but the deepest leagues.(RotoWire, )

News: Belt is out of the lineup Sunday against the Padres, MLB.com's Chris Haft reports. Impact: Belt made his return to the starting lineup Friday after missing over a month due to lingering concussion symptoms. He's 0-for-7 at the dish over back-to-back starts since his return, but will take a seat Sunday for a regular day off. Buster Posey will move from the backstop to man first base in his stead, as the Giants continue to ease their regular first baseman back into action.(RotoWire, )

News: Belt will start at first base and hit sixth Friday, Alex Pavlovic of the Mercury News reports. Impact: This will be his first game in the Giants' starting lineup since being activated from the DL after recovering from a concussion. The Giants will likely play him most days down the stretch to try to let him get into a rhythm heading into the postseason.(RotoWire, )

News: Belt is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Diamondbacks, Alex Pavlovic of the San Jose Mercury News reports. Impact: Though Belt was activated from the 15-day DL on Monday, he has yet to enter the lineup in any of the team's three games since that time. It seems the Giants are content to bring him back slowly after a long-term absence due to a concussion, so it looks like he may be restricted to pinch-hitting duty in the early going.(RotoWire, )

News: Belt (concussion) has been activated from the 15-day DL in advance of Monday's game against Arizona, CSN reports. Impact: The Giants waited until the last minute to announce the move, but Belt will be available for the first time since August 6. He's not in Monday's lineup, but it's possible he could return to the fold within the next few days, depending upon how much rust he and the team feel he may need to shake off. In 186 at-bats this season, Belt is hitting .237 with 24 RBI, 11 home runs and 55 strikeouts.(RotoWire, )

News: Belt (concussion) could be activated as soon as Monday night, the San Jose Mercury News reports. Impact: The Giants are still deciding when to activate Belt, but if it's not in advance of Monday's game, it will likely be Tuesday or Wednesday. He's passed all concussion tests, and it's now a matter of whether he's shaken off the rust and is ready to contribute. If Belt is not activated in the next couple of days, he'll likely play in an instructional league game Thursday in an effort to get as many live at-bats as possible before returning to the big league field.(RotoWire, )
