News: Peacock (3-8) did not factor into the decision in Monday's loss to the Twins, but held them to two runs (one earned) on seven hits and a walk with five strikeouts over five innings. Impact: Monday was certainly an improvement over his last two starts, but Peacock still needed 115 pitches (77 for strikes) to get through five innings. The 26-year-old has given up at least one earned run in all 21 appearances (17 starts) with the Astros this season, and he'll carry a 5.25 ERA into his next scheduled start Saturday at Boston.(RotoWire, )

News: Peacock (3-8) was hammered for eight runs on seven hits and four walks with four strikeouts over five innings in a loss to the Phillies on Wednesday. Impact: Had the Astros not played 15 innings in a loss the night prior, manager Bo Porter likely would have pulled Peacock from the game much sooner. The 26-year-old right-hander gave up five runs in the first inning alone, then allowed three more in the fourth inning on a home run to Chase Utley. Peacock's struggles this season have been evident, but with the recent trade of Jarred Cosart to Miami, he's likely to get every opportunity over the final two months of the season to prove that he can be counted upon for next year.(RotoWire, )
