News: Hand (shin) will start Sunday against the Giants, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports. Impact: A line drive to the leg last Sunday forced Hand off the mound after four innings and left him with a shin contusion, but it sounds like the little bit of extra time afforded by the All-Star break was sufficient to treat the issue. Hand has struggled to the tune of a 5.26 ERA and 1.75 WHIP in 19 appearances (five starts) this season, and he could lose his rotation spot again if he doesn't turn it around in short order.(RotoWire, )

News: Hand left Sundays game with a right shin contusion, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports. Impact: Hand was hit in the shin by a line drive and was lifted for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the fourth inning. He allowed three runs on six hits and two walks in the outing. A contusion isn't usually something that takes a long time to heal, so it wouldn't be surprising if he was good to go for his next start after the All-Star break.(RotoWire, )
