News: The Detroit Tigers have acquired speedy outfielder Anthony Gose from the Toronto Blue Jays for second base prospect Devon Travis. The teams announced the trade Wednesday night. Impact: One of Detroit's priorities this offseason was to address center field after Austin Jackson was dealt to Seattle last summer. Team President Dave Dombrowski says Gose can provide "above-average defense" in center and a good arm. Detroit hopes the 24-year-old Gose will improve at the plate. He hit .226 last season in 94 games with the Blue Jays. (STATS, 0:07am)

News: Gose was traded to the Tigers on Wednesday in exchange for second base prospect Devon Travis, Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reports. Impact: Gose will head to a Tigers team in need of outfielders after playing his first three big league seasons with the Blue Jays. He owns just a .604 career OPS at the big league level, but he provides good defense and speed, and figures to see plenty of action in center field.(RotoWire, )
