News: Craig is out of the lineup for the second straight day Sunday against the Cardinals. Impact: Craig is slowly seeing his playing time slip, and with a .133/.204/.222 slash line in July, he isn't doing much to help his case. His counterpart, Oscar Taveras, hasn't represented a huge upgrade thus far, but will now have started three of the past four games in his place. Craig should continue to see consistent starts against left-handed pitching, but if his struggles at the plate continue, he may risk slipping into a full-time platoon with Taveras in right. The Cardinals highly value the upside of the younger Taveras, and will continue to try to get him at-bats in any way possible. So far, this has mostly come at Craig's expense.(RotoWire, )

News: Craig is out of the lineup Saturday, FOX Sports Midwest reports. Impact: Oscar Taveras will get the start in right field, as Craig is out of the lineup for the third time in six games. The Cardinals gave Craig more than half the season to stake a claim to the full-time right field job, but he just hasn't produced enough to warrant being an everyday player with an option like Taveras waiting for a chance.(RotoWire, )

News: Craig is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Dodgers. Impact: A day out of the lineup Saturday didn't do much to enliven Craig's dormant bat, as he produced one hit in six at-bats over the next two games. Craig will give way to Oscar Taveras and Jon Jay in the outfield Wednesday, with those three players likely having to split time among two spots until two clearly separate themselves from the other.(RotoWire, )

News: Craig is not in the lineup Saturday against the Dodgers, True Blue LA's Eric Stephen reports. Impact: Oscar Taveras will man right field with Matt Adams playing first base against righty Zack Greinke. Craig has been given an extremely long leash this season, but the Cardinals have made it clear that Taveras has nothing left to prove at Triple-A, and he will thus need to be given at-bats at the major league level, so when a righty is on the mound, Craig and his .295 OBP is an obvious choice to ride the pine.(RotoWire, )
