News: Ondrusek has been placed on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to July 13 with a strained right shoulder, the Reds' official site reports. Curtis Partch will be recalled from Triple-A Louisville. Impact: The 29-year-old reliever last appeared July 12 against the Pirates, striking out two batters in his one inning. Ondrusek has appeared in 29 games this season, hurling 31.1 innings while posting a 4.31 ERA. His replacement, Curtis Partch, is also a right-handed reliever who has thrown 5.1 scoreless innings in four major-league appearances this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Ondrusek (3-2) tossed two innings of one-hit, scoreless ball while fanning two before the Reds walked off in the ninth, earning him the win. Impact: He entered the game in the eighth while the Reds were trailing 5-4, retiring 6-of-7 batters before Billy Hamilton cashed in the game-winning run with a single in the bottom of the ninth. In 30.1 innings this season, he owns a 13:27 BB:K ratio, 4.45 ERA and 1.62 WHIP -- lackluster numbers, to be sure -- but he got the job in the second half of a doubleheader in lieu of Aroldis Chapman, who was unavailable after picking up a save earlier in the day.(RotoWire, )
