News: Soria (oblique) will likely rejoin the bullpen when he's first eligible, James Schmehl of MLive.com reports. "He's definitely feeling better," manager Brad Ausmus said Sunday. Impact: Soria is first eligible to come off the disabled list Aug. 25, and it appears he will be ready to do so at that point. He will likely pitch a few bullpen sessions or go on a rehab assignment at some point this week in preparation for his return.(RotoWire, )

News: Soria (oblique) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday, MLB.com's Jason Beck reports. Impact: Soria indicated earlier Sunday that he would miss multiple days because of the injury but didn't know if he would require a stint on the disabled list. That question was answered quickly, and now his focus will be returning when he's first eligible on Aug. 25. The Tigers will likely make a corresponding move before Sunday's game to replace Soria in the bullpen.(RotoWire, )

News: Soria will miss multiple days following the oblique injury he suffered Sunday, MLB.com's Jason Beck reports. Impact: Soria finished the ninth inning for Joe Nathan on Saturday but left during warmups in the 10th inning. It appears the strain is somewhat significant as he has already ruled himself out for at least a couple days. If the injury turns out to be severe enough, he could see time on the disabled list, a blow to his chances of taking over the closer role from the struggling Joe Nathan.(RotoWire, )

News: Soria strained a muscle in his left side while warming up Saturday and has been placed on the 15-day disabled list. Impact: Soria, who was acquired from Texas on July 24, left Saturday's game while warming up before the 10th inning with a strained muscle in his left side. He's 1-1 with a 10.38 in six games with Detroit.(STATS, 10:55pm)

News: Soria left Saturday's game during 10th-inning warmups with a side strain, Matthew B. Mowery of the Oakland Press reports. Impact: Soria finished the ninth for Joe Nathan, who blew the save and left the bases loaded with one out, but the former was unable to take on the 10th. While the severity of the injury is currently unknown, Soria will be evaluated Sunday.(RotoWire, )

News: Soria left Saturday's game during his 10th inning warmup pitches with an apparent lower back injury, MLB.com's Jason Beck reports. Impact: Soria, who finished the ninth for Joe Nathan and went out for the 10th, called for the trainers during his warmup pitches and exited the game appearing to clutch his lower back. If the injury causes Soria to miss any exended period of time, it would be unfortunate for owners as Soria could have been zoning in on the closer role after another blown save by Joe Nathan on Saturday.(RotoWire, )
