News: Kemp went 3-for-5 with two RBI against the Giants on Friday night. Impact: Kemp had one of five Dodgers triples on the night and raised his batting average to .273 on the season. The one suffering area of his game has been the home run totals, with his last one coming on June 25. There's been some unhappiness in Los Angeles with Kemp not getting everyday starts for the Dodgers, but if he keeps hitting like this, manager Don Mattingly will have no choice but to slot him in on a daily basis.(RotoWire, )

News: Kemp is out of the Dodgers' lineup Saturday against the Cardinals. Impact: Carl Crawford will draw the start in left field, as Scott Van Slyke mans center against right-hander Joe Kelly. Reports surfaced Friday saying Kemp would be open to a trade if he's not going to be the team's everyday center fielder, but he may not get either unless the Dodgers don't receive a fair offer for his services. Kemp is 9-for-42 without an extra-base hit so far in July, so he's not exactly forcing manager Don Mattingly's hand for the everyday role.(RotoWire, )

News: Kemp would prefer to be the team's everyday center fielder but would be open to a trade if that's not possible, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports. Impact: Kemp isn't necessarily demanding a trade, but we're not sure exactly where this is coming from. Kemp has started 40 of the team's last 42 games (in left field), but with Carl Crawford back off his latest DL stint, Kemp could see the bench with a little more frequency. A trade seems unlikely at this point.(RotoWire, )

News: Kemp is not in the lineup Sunday against the Padres, SB Nation's Eric Stephen reports. Impact: Carl Crawford will get the start in left field, relegating Kemp to the bench. While Crawford's return from the DL could take the occasional start away from Kemp, the expectation is that Crawford will be used as a fourth outfielder.(RotoWire, )
