News: Weaver's next start has been rescheduled for Saturday against the Rangers, MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez reports. Impact: Weaver was scratched from Thursday's start to get a bit of extra rest, as the Angels clinched an AL West title Wednesday, and manager Mike Scioscia was simply rewarding some of his key contributors. Weaver will take the hill Saturday, however, with his next start scheduled for the following Friday. After that, the plan for the Angels' veteran is to start Game 1 of the ALDS.(RotoWire, )

News: Weaver has been scratched from his scheduled start Thursday against the Mariners, Pedro Moura of the Orange County Register reports. Impact: With the Angels wrapping up the AL West crown Wednesday night, manager Mike Scioscia has decided to reward Weaver, and likely most of his regulars, with some extra rest. Lefty Wade LeBlanc, who was expected to start Saturday in place of Matt Shoemaker (oblique), will now toe the rubber Thursday opposite Felix Hernandez. It's uncertain when Weaver will start next, but it will probably be either Sunday or Monday, as he would then be lined up to start Game 1 of the ALDS on Oct. 2.(RotoWire, )
