News: Baker tripled and drove in a run during the Marlins' 2-1 victory over the Diamondbacks on Saturday. Impact: Getting the start at first base with an opposing lefty on the mound, the veteran followed a Giancarlo Stanton single with a rare three-bagger to put the Marlins on the board. Baker is slashing a modest .256/.304/.391 for the season, but has once again been a reliable option against left-handed pitching (.292/.343/.449 in 89 at-bats). He'll continue to spell Garrett Jones at first base when a southpaw is on the mound.(RotoWire, )

News: Baker hit a pinch-hit two-run homer in Wednesday's loss to the Cardinals. Impact: The ninth-inning blast represented the Marlins' only runs of the day in the 5-2 defeat. Baker has been a bench player the last seven games and won't see any extended action unless any of Christian Yelich, Marcell Ozuna or Giancarlo Stanton are forced to miss time due to injury.(RotoWire, )
