News: Anderson's start on Friday will be his last of the season, the Arizona Republic's Nick Piecoro reports. Impact: He has pitched 148.1 innings between Double-A and the big leagues this season, so with Friday's start likely to give him 150 innings for the first time in his professional career, the Diamondbacks will shut him down. He posted a 3.70 ERA and a 21.7 percent K-rate to go with an 8.2 percent walk rate, so if he is able to land a spot in Arizona's rotation next season, he could be a sneaky draft pick in deeper leagues. The Diamondbacks were using a six-man rotation, so nobody will need to replace him for what would have been his final start on Aug. 26, everyone else will simply move up a day.(RotoWire, )

News: Anderson picked up the win Saturday, allowing three walks, four hits and two runs, while striking out five against the Padres. Impact: Anderson pitched a solid game and received plenty of run support in Arizona's 10-4 victory Saturday. The rookie may have pitched his last game this season, as manager Kirk Gibson is considering resting him for the rest of the campaign. Anderson has pitched a combined 148.1 innings in the majors and minors this season, the highest total in his professional career.(RotoWire, )
