News: Krauss will start in left field and bat cleanup Wednesday against the A's. Impact: Brought up to replace George Springer (quad) on the active roster, Krauss will immediately slot in as the cleanup hitter Wednesday against right-hander Jesse Chavez. Krauss has hit just .173/.272/.309 with four homers in 39 games with the big club this season, but he's been much better at Triple-A (.289/.375/.459) and it seems he'll be part of the outfield rotation along with Enrique Hernandez, L.J. Hoes and Robbie Grossman.(RotoWire, )

News: Krauss was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday. Impact: George Springer hit the 15-day DL with a quad strain, and Krauss was brought back up to take his spot on the active roster. Krauss can play the corner outfield spots, but he's primarily played first base between Triple-A and the majors this season, and it seems likely be deployed mostly at first and off the bench in his latest stint with the big club. L.J. Hoes and Enrique Hernandez figure to see most of the time in the corners, with Robbie Grossman in center.(RotoWire, )
