News: Almonte was sent down to Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes-Barre on Friday, the New York Daily News reports. Impact: With Martin Prado and Stephen Drew set to join the Yankees, Almonte will head back to Triple-A to clear space on the roster. News: Almonte was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday, MLB.com reports. Impact: Almonte will function as the Yankees' fourth outfielder while Carlos Beltran (elbow) remains relegated to designated hitter duties. Even so, manager Joe Girardi indicated over the weekend that Beltran is not "too far off" returning to his usual corner outfield spot, suggesting Almonte's stay with the Yankees could be brief.(RotoWire, )
