News: Tepesch (knee) will be pushed back in the rotation, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Impact: Though Tepesch's knee is feeling better, he'll have his scheduled start pushed back at least a few days. To compensate for the change, Jerome Williams will slide into the rotation to start Friday versus Cleveland. The Rangers also confirmed Miles Mikolas will start Saturday while Yu Darvish goes Sunday to close out the three-game set.(RotoWire, )

News: Tepesch exited Saturday's game against the A's after six innings with left knee soreness. He ending up taking the loss, giving up three earned runs on four hits while not issuing a walk and fanning two. Impact: Tough luck for Tepesch, who -- aside from serving up a pair of home runs to John Jaso and Yoenis Cespedes -- was relatively efficient in only needing 73 pitches to get through six innings. He's now 3-7 on the year with a 4.84 ERA and 1.39 WHIP though 67 innings (12 starts), and although his next start is scheduled for Friday at Cleveland, don't be surprised if this knee issue forces him to miss a turn or two in the rotation.(RotoWire, )

News: Tepesch will make his next start Saturday against the Athletics. Impact: The Rangers initially planned to keep Tepesch on schedule as normal Friday, but that was called off after he was forced to record an out in Tuesday's 14-inning affair with the Yankees. He'll just be pushed back one day to aid his recovery, with Jerome Williams coming up from Triple-A Round Rock to make Friday's start.(RotoWire, )

News: Tepesch will not make his scheduled start Friday, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Impact: Manager Ron Washington believed Tepesch would still be able to go Friday despite being used in relief in Tuesday's game, but he changed course, and will use another starter instead. The Rangers have yet to announce who will replace Tepesch in Friday's contest.(RotoWire, )

News: Tepesch survived only 4.1 innings against the Blue Jays on Sunday, surrendering five earned runs and not striking out a single batter. Impact: Tepesch's up-and-down year continued Sunday as his season ERA rose to 4.75. The 25-year-old has experienced a dip in velocity this season, dipping from an average fastball of 90.9 to 89.4 miles per hour. He has shown flashes of his potential this year, but remains too inconsistent to be a viable starter in anything but the deepest of leagues..(RotoWire, )
