News: Fujikawa (elbow) will make at least one more rehab appearance for Triple-A Iowa before returning to the Cubs, reports. Impact: Just about 14 months removed from Tommy John surgery, Fujikawa moved his rehab to Triple-A last week and appears close to making his return to Chicago. In four rehab appearances for Iowa thus far, Fujikawa has allowed five hits while striking out three over 4.0 total innings. He was previously strong in appearances for the Cubs' rookie league team, as well as at Low-A Kane County. Barring a setback, an early-August return to the Cubs seems realistic.(RotoWire, )

News: Fujikawa (elbow) will move his rehab to Triple-A Iowa, Jesse Rogers of ESPN Chicago reports. Impact: Fujikawa is nearly 14 months removed from Tommy John surgery, and finally appears to be making steady progress in his rehab. He threw four scoreless innings for the Cubs' rookie ball team, followed by 1.2 shutout frames at Low-A Kane County. One encouraging sign is that he's logged nine total strikeouts over that 5.2 inning span. If he can continue to be effective at the Triple-A level, look for Fujikawa to return to the Cubs in early August.(RotoWire, )

News: Fujikawa (elbow) will move to Low-A Kane County to continue his rehabilitation, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports. Impact: Now more than 13 months into his recovery from Tommy John surgery, Fujikawa has been given the green light to move to Kane County after four successful rehab appearances with the team's rookie-level affiliate. A return in early August certainly seems possible, but Hector Rondon and Neil Ramirez have done a fine job at the back end of the bullpen for Chicago, so Fujikawa may work strictly in middle relief.(RotoWire, )
